I’ve been immersed in design for as long as I can remember—though it didn’t feel like anything out of the ordinary at first. I grew up in a creative family—my father is an artist with over 30 years in the advertising industry, and my mother has spent 15 years in publication with a strong foundation in print media. From a young age, I was exposed to discussions around design, critiquing their work, and absorbing a lot of what they did without even realizing it.

Design felt natural to me, something I just “got.” But I didn’t recognize it as a unique skill until later in life when I was wrapping up my MCA and decided coding wasn’t for me. I shifted gears and leaned into product design because it felt like a natural extension of who I am.

What excites me most about product design is its potential to bridge creativity and functionality. My journey has taught me that design can make or break businesses, and I’m driven to create experiences that not only look good but also solve real problems. I’m naturally curious and always asking questions, constantly seeking new challenges where I can bring my unique background, passion for innovation, and deep understanding of how design drives business

Outside of design, I’ve always had a creative itch. At 14, I started experimenting with electronic music and spent years in local studios as a sound engineer, collaborate on student films, and even assist on three major Marathi film period dramas. In 2020, I ranked 31st in the entrance exam for FTII, Asia’s top film school—quite an experience, but life had other plans, and I pivoted back to design during the pandemic.

Designing sound was about telling a story with emotion and nuance, and that same principle guides my approach to product design today: I want people to feel a connection with the products I design, not just use them.

I’ve always been driven to explore the intersections of creativity and technology, which is what led me to product design. I’ve always been drawn to creating experiences that move people. Whether through design, sound, or even a seamless digital product, I’m passionate about crafting moments that leave a lasting impact.
